You’ll want to pay off this debt on the first day. Tom Nook will charge you 5,000 Nook Miles (or nearly 50,000 Bells) for the pleasure of moving to his island. If you find two of the same creature, feel free to sell the duplicates. If you run out of space, you can plop items on the ground in front of your tent.
